Dive into the fascinating realm of technical theatre in this hands-on, immersive 10-week course designed for aspiring theatre technicians. Students will explore the essential components that bring a production to life, including costumes, lighting, scenery, painting, and props. Through a combination of interactive lessons and practical experiences, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of the behind-the-scenes magic that makes theatre possible. Each student will spend a total of two classes with each technical department. No experience is needed.
This class includes a $25 registration fee that covers a student t-shirt and project materials used during the course.

"Intro To Digital Storytelling"
8th - 12th Grade

In this 5-week course students will gain experience crafting stories through the use of digital video and audio technology. In five 90-minute sessions students will learn about scripting and storyboarding, basic lighting and sound set-ups, digital editing (including greenscreen effects and motion graphics), and how these processes and technologies are applied to theatre, film, and social media in today's rapidly changing entertainment industry.
