Seeking 6 Apprentices for our 2022 season.

(Three men/Three women. All artists must be fully vaccinated.)


Must be non-union college seniors or recent graduates who can work with the company from

May 13 - November 13


2022 Productions include West Side Story, Mamma Mia, Rootabaga Express, and a regional

tour of two new Playhouse Jr. musicals.


Seeking strong dancers who sing [very] well. Must be able to work well with an ensemble

for an extended period. Free housing, some meals, and a weekly stipend are provided.


Apprentices will also take classes, hold understudy responsibilities, earn points toward AEA, enjoy our Midnight Studio Cabarets and work alongside administration and tech departments as part of the all-inclusive training program.

Please include the following in your audition video submission:

1. Slate your name and age.

2. Short Video with dancing and singing. A short monologue is encouraged.

3. Please also share a short fun fact about you so that we can see your personality.

4. Please share a brief statement about why you would like to be an Apprentice at Flat Rock Playhouse.

5. Two letters of recommendation are preferred.


We will accept video submissions from February 1-March 4.

Callbacks / interviews will be held online in March. Qualified actors/singers/dancers of all ethnicities, gender

identities, ages, as well as performers with disabilities are encouraged toaudition/submit.
