60th Anniversary Season Announced
Season Tickets Now Available
The staff and board of Flat Rock Playhouse are pleased to announce the 60th Anniversary Season of the State Theatre of North Carolina. In 2012, audiences will have twenty-eight different performances to choose from - including four dramas, five comedies, six musicals, ten concerts, at least one children's show and two holiday shows.
For the 60th Anniversary of its founding, Flat Rock Playhouse will reach back to revive some of the classic plays and musicals from its six-decade history while simultaneously looking forward to new works by some of America's most influential playwrights and composers. The Playhouse will launch a new musical set right here in Western North Carolina, breathe new life into a Tennessee Williams classic and attempt to recapture the magic of one of television's greatest shows. The creative team plans to rediscover the music of Rodgers and Hammerstein, reintroduce audiences to one of the Playhouse's favorites - Guys and Dolls, and go back to the early days, when farces were a seasonal staple, with two laugh-out-loud farces.
